Don’t forget about coupons

You should never underestimate the power of the coupon. You may think, “What difference will it make if I save $0.25 on bread this week?†When you are tight on funds and have numerous bills to pay, every little bit helps. Clipping coupons can really save you money in the long run.
Here are some coupon rules:
Don’t go out of your way to buy items that you don’t need just because you have a coupon. Unless it is free, you will save more by not buying it.
Wait until the item goes on sale to use the coupon. (Many stores also offer double or triple coupon weeks, and you can hang on to coupons until then and save even more)
Don’t be afraid to try a new brand. If it costs less, why not try it?
You can find coupons in your local Sunday paper, right in the store, or online. All you have to do is visit a reputable coupon site, like SmartSource.com or CoolSavings. There are many more sites that offer coupons. The best way to save is waiting until the item goes on sale at your local grocery store to use the coupon. You can save hundreds of dollars per year!

Hi, Maria, thanks for the heads up about your service. I know there are several out there along these lines, but I have a hard time finding any that support the stores where I shop (Wal-Mart and WinCo) in the Boise area.
In fact, out of the 8 stores you mentioned, only 2 are available here. Is the service still useful in that case or would I likely just be frustrated when told that the cheapest place to buy something is somewhere I can’t go?

Actually we are world wide and it tracks all major stores sorry I just listed the stores I shop at in AZ
if you log in to couponsense.com you can enter your zipcode and the stores in your area will come up

Have you tried http://www.pinchingyourpennies.com? I am also a big fan of couponsense, but realize that it is not everywhere yet. They are slowly getting to each state and Idaho is one of them!

Many people think it is cheap to cut out coupons, I like to save money everywhere I can. I especially love those double or triple coupon offers! Thanks for making others aware of the savings to be made.
