I thought about blogging to make money but found that the format was a little too restricting for me so i went the full website way.

I do agree though that to make money you do really need some sort of product or service to sell to have any real chance of make any real money.

I’d love to write for a team blog on Christian wifehood. I’ve already been blogging (edgily — well, I prefer “tongue-in-cheekily”) on philosophical motherhood. That’s pretty close, given that I am, in fact, a Christian wife.

Yes it’s possible to make money blogging, but you are right, it doesn’t pay very well. It also can take a long time of strong effort. However, there’s the chance that if you get popular, you can bring in significant money with minimal work. Some might even call it fun…

I would heartily agree that one of the best ways to use a blog is for marketing. I’ve been working with a number of companies who use the blog to increase their level of communication with their customers. I’ve discouraged them from adding ads, no matter the opportunity for some potential revenue.
